Profile
Abdullah Khubayb obtained his bachelor of laws degree with second class (upper division) honours (LL.B) from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2007 and was admitted and enrolled as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2008.
Abdullah Khubayb honed his litigation skills at Cheah Teh & Su from 2008 to 2013. His area of practice includes various torts, administrative law, contractual disputes, intellectual property litigation, construction and land-based litigation as well as employment and industrial disputes. In particular, he specializes in commercial injunctive reliefs and remedies, judicial reviews, execution proceedings including committal applications and white collar crime. The Firm recognized and rewarded his talent by entrusting him to conduct his own trials and hearings from his first year of practice and he has since appeared before all levels of the Court.
Abdullah Khubayb then joined Salleh & Co as Senior Associate in 2013 to broaden his knowledge on corporate & commercial law. He gained valuable experience in a different area of the law and with his litigation background, was able to offer value-added insight in commercial strategies & structuring. He quickly showed affinity and adeptness especially in handling and leading cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions and legal teams from different countries and acquired corporate and commercial knowledge and expertise. He was made a Team Leader of the firm overseeing the corporate & commercial, cross-border and conveyancing portfolios as well as spearheading the litigation department.
In 2014, Abdullah Khubayb joined the esteemed firm of Messrs. Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill where he specialized in public interest litigation, constitutional and administrative law, white collar crimes and land based litigation.
With his considerable expertise in litigation as well as corporate and commercial law, Abdullah Khubayb was then invited to join Shahir Razak & Associates as a partner to provide the firm with an added dimension.
